Use cases where tags don't get applied correctly

Hi, I'm seeing an increasing number of use cases where tags simply don't get applied correctly. Since comments are moderated (and mine don't get through, for whatever reason) I thought it best to post them here (or just get frustrated, but that's not a constructive option :)

  • When searching for a tag and clicking all works. But when arrowing down to an option and pressing tab, both the typed letters AND the selected option applies
  • When doing the above, then deleting one or more tags, the tab key automatically applies the last(?) used tag anyway. In fact, it seems like it never was deleted (from the hidden ul list at least, possible not in the .data() either) so it gets applied even if you trigger tab to show it again or not.
  • When typing the start of a word with no ajax matches you must press comma or tab. Using the submit button or return key won't make it. Maybe I'm missing something here (can you configure this already?) but the "mom tried and failed" scenario happens to most users here so I guess it's not the intended result.

Please let me know if it's something I can do to help you guys fix this, post more error messages or similar.

No problem! Glad you "took it the right way", as we say here in Sweden :)

I've solved the "add tag even on blur" as described above, at least to satisfy me. I just copied the code from the "tab or comma" section and added it under the "else if(input_focus)" section in the .blur(e) function (I added an "e" there to capture the event).

Hope it helps someone, although it probably could be done better (I don't think the right classes are being applied now, got a "blur" class on some but not all added items)
